Chili With A Kick

2 lbs ground beef
2 carrots chopped
1 lg. onion
2 cloves garlic
2 T chili powder
1 t cumin
1 t oregano
1 28 oz can tomatoes
1 5 1/2 can tomato paste
1 tomato paste can of whiskey
1 t sugar
1/2 t. salt
2 14 oz cans of kidney beans

1. Brown ground beef and add all ingredients except kidney beans. Reduce heat and simmer 40 minutes.
2. Stir in beans and simmer 20 minutes or until thickened.
